St. Gregory Hovsepian School welcomes you to its Preschool.
Since its establishment in 1984, our Preschool has generated a community-wide reputation for excellence, providing a warm and nurturing environment for all children.
Our age-appropriate curriculum engages and challenges students by providing them the opportunity to explore, think, reason and expand the skills that are necessary for early childhood development. By providing both personalized and caring attention, our teachers will address the need of the individual. In no time, your son or daughter will reach for the stars with our stimulating, academic program.
Our curriculum focuses on Armenian & English languages and culture, creative arts, reading skills, basic math concepts, music and rhythm, dramatic play, natural and social sciences and additional hands-on activities.
With your support and encouragement, I am sure your children will find their preschool years to be a very rewarding.
Sincerely,
Kristina Movsessian

In addition, a simple birthday cake is preferred.
FieldtripsThe class will be attending 2 or 3 fieldtrips. More information on the date and location will be given at a later date.
GradingIn our classes, we use 3 methods of reporting student’s work. Each wording represents a different level of student effort. Preschoolers are formally graded 3 times a year with a progress report.
JacketsPlease write your child’s name with a permanent marker on the inside tag. Every year, jackets are lost because there is no name to identify the owner.
Meeting with your child’s teacherIf you need to discuss something with your child’s teacher, you are more than welcome to make an appointment with the teacher or the office. Remember that there is always a class in session during the day, and we need to be respectful of their learning.
Jackets and sweatersPlease write your child's name with a permanent marker on the inside tag. Every year, jackets and sweaters are lost because there is no name to identify the owner.
NewsletterOn occasions, we will be sending newsletters via e-mail informing you of anything new that is going on in preschool. This is the primary source of communicating with the parents.
Parent ConferencesThere will be 1 parent conference scheduled during the 1st quarter of school.
Parent-Support- FPPParent-support is crucial in order for your child to succeed in his/her learning.
ToysAs a year-long policy, we do not allow students to bring toys from home. Toys create distractions to students in the classroom. It is only on Fridays that student will be given the opportunity to bring toys to school for "share day." We appreciate your help in enforcing this policy.
Most importantly...Our goal is to promote a high-quality preschool program, which includes a rich array of early experiences that can help prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
