At St. Gregory Hovsepian Preschool, we nurture the whole child, addressing physical, social-emotional, cognitive, language, and creative skills. Our curriculum features vibrant interest centers like building blocks, dramatic play, and art, sparking imagination and igniting curiosity. Children dive into a variety of activities, from storytelling to musical instruments, encouraging unique forms of expression and growth.

HERE'S HOW WE DO IT
Technology Integration
Introduce age-appropriate technology tools and activities to foster digital literacy skills. Provide opportunities for children to use tablets or computers for interactive educational games and creative activities. Encourage exploration with simple coding toys like LEGO Education Sets to introduce basic programming concepts.
Science Exploration Centers
Enhance the existing interest centers with science-themed activities. For example, introduce a discovery table filled with natural materials like shells, rocks, and plants for children to explore through observation and experimentation. Incorporate age-appropriate science experiments and demonstrations to cultivate curiosity about the natural world.
Engineering Challenges
Incorporate engineering challenges into the curriculum to promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Set up building stations with blocks, construction materials, and simple machines where children can design and build structures. Encourage collaborative projects that involve planning, testing, and iterating solutions to engineering problems.
Armenian Art and Creativity

DAILY SCHEDULE
Welcome to our daily schedule! Here's a glimpse into the exciting activities your child will be enjoying throughout the day:
Arrival (Between 7:50 AM and 8:30 AM)
As your child arrives, they'll get the day off to a clean start by washing their hands. Our attentive teachers are there to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Free Play & Classroom Exploration
It's time for your little one to dive into a world of imagination! With a range of engaging centers to choose from, they'll have the chance to develop skills like cooperation and creativity, all while making new friends.
Welcome & Circle Time
We kick off the day together with prayers, pledges, songs, and idea-sharing. Our goal is to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to participate.
Morning Snack
Nutritious snacks await, accompanied by refreshing fruit, milk, and water. While your child enjoys their snack, our teachers are there to foster independence by supervising hand-washing and snack clean-up.
Outdoor Play
Time to soak up some sunshine and fresh air! With age-appropriate equipment and careful supervision, your child can explore and play freely outdoors.
Storytelling
Imagination takes center stage as children listen to captivating stories and actively participate in the narrative. Our teachers foster a love for learning by encouraging questions and engagement.
Language, Phonics, Math, and Crafts Activities
From bilingual recognition of letters and numbers to creative crafts and music, your child will be immersed in a world of learning and discovery.
Music & Movement
Get ready to groove! Through singing and physical activities, your child will have a blast expressing themselves and staying active.
Religion
For those interested, we offer Bible-based activities where children can learn about important religious truths in a nurturing environment.
Clean-up & Bathroom Breaks
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is important to us. Our teachers are on hand to assist with hand-washing and ensure everything stays tidy.
Lunch
It’s time for a family-style lunch, complete with fruit and water, lovingly served by our teachers, encouraging conversation and helping with cleanup. Our preschool provides USDA-approved morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks, served family-style to promote self-reliance and communication. Children are encouraged to explore and choose their own food. Menus can be printed from this page and are displayed in each classroom.
Rest & Naptime
After a busy morning, it's time for a little rest. Our teachers create a peaceful environment for children to relax on their cots, providing quiet activities to wind down.
Afternoon Snack
Another round of nutritious snacks awaits, with milk and water to keep everyone refreshed. Hand-washing and cleanup promote independence and good habits.
Sharing & Indoor Activities
Through various indoor activities, children learn the importance of sharing and cooperation. Our teachers encourage participation in singing, storytelling, and idea-sharing
Outdoor Play (Again)
We round off the day with more outdoor fun! With our teachers' supervision, children can enjoy a final burst of playtime before heading home.
